About the Role

  • We are seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to join our organization. The Compliance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring our company's adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of compliance principles.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities

    1. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations to ensure the company's practices remain compliant.

    • Develop and implement compliance programs to address legal and regulatory requirements.

    • Provide guidance to various departments on compliance matters and potential impact on operations.


    1. Policy Development and Implementation:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, update, and communicate company policies and procedures.

    • Ensure that policies are aligned with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

    • Oversee the dissemination and training of policies to employees.


    1. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities.

    • Develop strategies and controls to mitigate identified risks effectively.

    • Monitor and report on the implementation and effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts.


    1. Internal Investigations:

    • Lead investigations into potential compliance violations or breaches.

    • Collect and analyze evidence, interview relevant parties, and recommend appropriate actions based on investigation findings.

    • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of investigations.


    1. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities.

    • Maintain accurate records of compliance-related activities, reports, and documentation.


    1. Training and Education:

    • Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on relevant regulations and policies.

    • Foster a culture of compliance by promoting awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.


    1. Audits and Monitoring:

    • Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to compliance matters.

    • Participate in compliance monitoring activities and perform periodic reviews of business practices.


    1. Ethics and Whistleblower Programs:

    • Administer and manage the company's ethics and whistleblower programs.

    • Receive and investigate reports of potential violations of policies or regulations.

Qualifications

    • Previous experience in a similar role that required reporting, financial analysis or statistical analysis

    • Previous experience in iGaming or Affiliate Marketing is a plus

    • Great English communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Should be curious, data-driven, and numerically inclined

    • Proven analytics skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

    • Proficiency Excel and Google Sheets skills, with an aptitude for learning other analytics tools

    • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    • A curious, problem-solving mindset with a passion for working with numbers and data.

Preferred Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional) are a plus.

      • 2+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management roles.

      • In-depth understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks.

      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.

      • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in complex situations.

      • Experience with conducting investigations and managing confidential information.

      • Proficiency in MS Office suite and compliance management software.

      • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement compliance programs.
